Lights On in Lander's Mission
 
To offer expanded learning opportunities that facilitate academic excellence and positive youth development in a safe and structured environment for all students and their families. 
 
 

Lights On in Lander afterschool program is a 21st Center Community Learning Center grant funded through the U.S. Department of Education and the State of Wyoming.  Lights on in Lander is a Fremont County School District #1 school-based program and serves as a expanded services program designed to provide quality extended day programming to students in Grades K-12.  Since 2001, Lights On in Lander has been a strong support service for academic and youth development.  Lights On in Lander operates before and after school, Monday through Friday and offers both academic tutoring and enrichment activities.

 
The Lights On in Lander afterschool program keeps kids safe, helps working families, and inspires kids to learn. The program serves the school and community population by promoting individual self-esteem and providing high-quality academic and enrichment programs for children in kindergarten through eighth grades. Well-trained staff interacts positively with the children and accommodates the needs of all participants. The program offers age-specific and mixed-group programming, cultural sensitivity, and mutual respect between the children and staff.
Parent and Legal Guardian involvement is welcomed and encouraged.
 
 
 
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        
Lights On is located in the blue modular in the parking lot of North Elementary. The office has a ramp leading up to the door.

Lights On is now accepting applications for Tutors and specialty teachers for enrichment classes for Grades K-6.  Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 3:00 – 5:30 pm beginning September 7th.
